Brien's Story

Brien V. Squires is the son of an immigrant and a first-generation American. He was raised in a Caribbean household where respect and work ethic were core family values. After high school, Brien earned his two-year degree from Hillsborough Community College and transferred to the University of South Florida where he studied Political Science. During his time at Stetson Law School, Brien interned for The Hon. Caryl E. Delano, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. Brien also served as President of The Pillars, a law student organization dedicated to cultural understanding, societal awareness, and community service. After Brien graduated from Stetson in 2017, he worked as an associate in the Tampa office of an international Am Law 200 firm. There, he defended some of the world’s largest companies. Brien’s goal is to use his experience to help people who are hurt by a product, in a car accident, a slip and fall, or by someone’s negligence.

Brien remains dedicated to serving his community by providing pro bono legal services to under-served youth in the Tampa Bay area. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading sci-fi novels, and completing home improvement projects.
